How do I get my shrimp?
All shrimp is sold fresh by the pound. Order today to reserve your spot on the next harvest! Once your order is placed, we will coordinate getting the shrimp to you. Farm pickup in person is also available.
Is your shrimp sold in stores?
Yes! Our product can be found in several central Iowa stores, frozen, sold under the Midland Co. brand. Look for or ask for their shrimp at your local Fareway or specialty grocery store.
Raising Shrimp? In Iowa?
It may be hard to believe, but our farm produces some of the cleanest, freshest shrimp available in the region. We use an algae-based Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS), one of the most innovative and sustainable technologies in modern aquaculture. Our saltwater shrimp live in clear, clean, carefully balanced water, and you can taste the difference!
How do I peel a shrimp?
Peeling your shrimp and prepping for cooking is super simple! The head is simply removed (or we recommend keeping them on for cooking), and then peel the shell. The below video will walk you through the process in less than 30 seconds. Don’t be intimidated and get to know your food a little!

For the freshest flavor, we recommend keeping it simple, grill the shrimp with a little oil and a light sprinkle of seasoning. A few minutes over medium heat is all it takes to bring out their incredible natural sweetness. That said, our shrimp are versatile and shine in all kinds of dishes.
