But a lot of that imported supply comes from crowded, chemically treated ponds overseas where oversight and traceability can be inconsistent. These issues have raised concerns about antibiotics, environmental harm, and labor practices, pushing more people to look for fresher, locally raised options.

Our solution pairs best-in-class aquaculture technology with Iowa’s greatest strength—its agricultural expertise—to produce clean, traceable, responsibly raised shrimp right here at home. By leveraging controlled, closed-loop systems and the state’s strong ag infrastructure, we’re proving that premium, ocean-free seafood can be grown sustainably in the Midwest.

Our Farm

What started with construction in late 2023 is now becoming reality—we’re officially raising shrimp, with our first harvest coming in August 2025. From Redfield, Iowa, we’re supplying local households and wholesale buyers while helping shape the future of agriculture in our state.
